Hey,
How you guys doing?
You know, I did not know, people really read my blogs like it's some sort of thinker's Analysis. I mean, I get it, I write it so that it seems like I am a thinker. Actually, I am a wannabe thinker. But, in reality, why I started writing blogs in the first place was I wanted to express my daily observations. Now, what happens, that too many people since last 3-4 days are suggesting me their observations and telling me to write blogs on these topics.
Is this normal? 😅
I am not mad. I am just saying, I am just grateful that people think I can do justice with their observations and make a good theory out of it. You know, Like One Bhaiya, who is also a UPSC aspirant, told me, to write blogs on current affairs, which will enhance my writing skills for the exam and also make people aware of day-to-day national events of polity, economy etc. Another bhaiya, who is also a dear friend and a biology researcher, asked me a Mythological question, why Our gods are blue and not black when the color mentioned in our texts is actually Shyaam varna, which is basically black.
These are just two examples but there are many where people just want to contribute to my blogs. I mean, I am just humbled at this point. Thank you so much. But I really believe that people can do justice with their own topics. Like, My friend Nitesh writes his own blogs. He has a writing style quite distinct from me and he selects topics according to his own observations. I respect that.
Like, I am not saying I will not try to implement these ideas but yeah, I mean, it is better people who advise me to write, should write their own piece. It is not for their betterment but for the betterment of the topic. Only the observer of the observation can be a good potential theorist of the underlying potential theory.
Coming to some recent things.
I have not met my friends for quite some time now. It's just last time when they called, I was busy studying and then I got exam and then so on. I will try to make it up. But that is the thing. I have joined mentorship classes where mentors give me daily targets without breaks. To catch 2-3 hours out of it is very difficult for me.
You know, in some weird fantasies of mine, I dream if we can make this blog as a one-way communication channel to all my loved ones and acquaintances. Like, I update them with my life and how its going and they can comment telling theirs and we do not have to meet ever again. 😂
I am kidding, of course.
Recently, I had many observations which I am trying to recall.
Recently, I understood what this Phrase "Sa Vidya Ya Vimuktaye!" or the one which knowledge is always free, means.
I do not know what the context of this in the Upanishads was where I read this. But regardless, I understood something.
The true test of knowledge is the exact opposite to memory actually. If you remember something, it means it has become a complex in your mind, it has become a matter of conflict, that is why the mind remembers that stuff. Knowledge should automatically get vanished. Nothing should remain.
Like, I do not know if you have experienced this, just before an exam, like 10 minutes before, And you have put a lot of hard work, you just go blank, a state of calm, a state of peace. This is the state of knowledge, where the mind switches off to give way to knowledge.
The knowledgeable is the one who has made flow of knowledge so easy in his mind that, he need not force himself to understand something or to memorize anything, but things become sort of autopilot for him. He does not even comprehend this fact. He thinks he knows nothing but just then someone asks a question and the man replies with the correct answer.
The man of knowledge, the true Gyana, has this quality of forgetfulness. He not only forgets the complex of knowledge but also that he is the knower.
The corollary of this are three in number:
1. All those who still have this doubt that they know something, do not know, they merely have Knowledge complex. Like Mother issues, they have knowledge issues.
2. All those who know, will be the most oblivious and hence the happiest people in the world. Ignorance is bliss and true knowledge; pure knowledge brings ignorance of the truest kind.
3. God can be thought of someone who has forgotten that he is the creator of this universe. Like, in some poem, I had written this line,
क्या ईश्वर को ये पता भी है कि उसने जगत ये रच भी दिया है?
If the universe is so marvelous and has any truth in it, the Creator, the God will be the knower of the purest kind and hence the most oblivious, the freest.
This was one of the observations I had. Recently, I have ordered three books from My gift voucher I got from using Microsoft edge. The books are all of Freud and one of Dr. Salman Akhtar, the famous Psychoanalyst.
1. Psychopathology of everyday life (Arrived last night)
2. Civilization and its discontents
3. Ghar ka Bhedi (Salman Akhtar's written Memoirs about his family members)
Especially I am excited to read about Salman's writings about his brother and his father. His brother and he has not talked since I think 10 years. They have some issues. Also, they did not have a conflict free past with their father as well.
The problem I think is the following. I do not think that it is their problem. It is the authoritarian and non-democratic structure of first of all the family institution and then the retarded nature of human mind. I think, in a family, there is no place for an individual. Individualities get killed in families. Only family man and family woman live in families. Especially Indian Families, People who can sacrifice their own desires and aspirations for family can only survive. Assertive people are outcasted in a family.
Salman Akhtar speaks to me a lot because he comes from the same sensibility that I come from. It is a common saying that "Do not wash your dirty linen in public!". Like do not discuss your family problems in public because people will judge you and your family.
I have seen no other public figure write so much about his family. I also do it. I mean, I am not a public figure (yet😅) but you know. I get why Salman Akthar does that. I think Family is among the most hypocritical institutions of Indian society. We have double standards when it comes to people of our own kin. We do not criticize our own people. and that is the danger when the whole world is said to be a family, I fear it will be the worst totalitarian system ever because no one would strive for betterment there and it will be a moral policing of a completely different level.
I like Salman's Personal as well as professional writings. I have read very little but still. So, I am eager to read his memoirs.
A lot of thoughts I am having but let's leave it for the next blog. Adios!
